Skip Treater Controller Eases Bag Making Operations
Release date: 7/1/2001
MENOMONEE FALLS, WI - Enercon's new Skip Treater Controller makes setup a snap while providing precise treat/no treat dimensions that allow production of high quality printed bags that can be sealed with ease and remain sealed until opened by the consumer. The controller's electronics does all the calculations. All you need do is enter the bag size (treat dimension), the dimension of the seal (skip dimension) and the diameter of the roll the skip treater's encoder is connected to. The controller takes it from there and controls the corona treater on/off cycles to deliver accurate treated areas that allow the ink to flow out and stick where it should and untreated areas that allow the seals to hold tight through product distribution. If an adjustment is required, the controller prompts the operator with simple instructions to correct the operation. Adjustment can be made during operation.
