Decorating Bioplastics with Plasma Treatment

Green plastics are a major focus of a number of industries blending convenience with environmental stability, also known as sustainability. Green Plastics, sometimes called “bioplastics”, are biodegradable and usually made mostly or entirely from renewable resources.

Manufacturers are making significant strides at reducing their carbon footprint by aggressively incorporating Bioplastics into their products. The need for successful interfacial adhesion with solvent, water based and UV/EB decorating processes is critical for the long term viability of these bioplastics.

Enercon tackles the challenges of decorating these environmentally friendly materials in an article featured in Plastics Decorating Magazine.
