Enercon's 2005 CMM Exhibit

Release date: 2/1/2005

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI - Booth # 1421 will offer CMM visitors a first hand look at revolutionary atmospheric plasma technology, new powerful corona treatment electrodes, hot developments with PowerFlame™ surface treaters and the introduction of a new tension tuner that allows converters to scientifically predict desired web tensions.

New Plasma3™ pilot line

Enercon will be exhibiting a new pilot line concept for trialing atmospheric plasma and corona applications. Plasma3™ is breaking ground for long lasting treatments, success with difficult to treat substrates and advanced surface functionalization. In conjunction with our technology partner Sigma Technologies, Enercon has developed unique systems for applications requiring stringent surface specifications, improved hydrophilicity and precise surface coating performance. The pilot line will also feature Enercon’s corona treatment technology.

New corona treating elite series electrodes

Enercon is offering a new electrode that has 40% greater treatment capacity. These corona treatment electrodes reliably deliver high treatment levels and can often reduce the number of electrodes required for an application.

PowerFlame™ flame treatment technology

Enercon's flame treaters set new standards for reliable web handling and flame treatment. PowerFlame™ technology is ideal for extrusion coating/laminating, paperboard and aluminum converting applications.

New tension tuning device to be introduced

With the variety of films handled on converting equipment today, press operators are continually challenged to find the optimum tension requirements for each roll of substrate. Enercon is pleased to offer a new tension tuning device that eliminates the guess work in tension setting by scientifically predicting desired web tension. Visitors to Enercon's booth can try this operational system first hand.
