Typically, the seal layer should match the container material\u2014like an LDPE liner sealing to an LDPE bottle. But there\u2019s more to it than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product compatibility plays a vital role too. In some applications, liners must include barrier layers to prevent interactions between the product and the liner material. Your cap supplier should be a trusted resource to help you identify the right liner based on both your bottle type and the nature of your product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, liner compatibility issues are something we encounter far too often in the field. The telltale sign? Complete seal failure. You might notice that, regardless of how much heat is applied, the liner pops off easily, flakes, or fails to adhere altogether. These are strong indicators that the liner is incompatible with the container.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Demonstration: Same Bottles with Different Liners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this video we demonstrate with two LDPE bottles\u2014one with a liner that is not compatible, and the other with a universal liner. We attempt to seal both bottles using the same parameters: 100% power through our deep tunnel sealing head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After sealing and allowing the appropriate cooling time, we inspect the results. At first glance, both seals appear identical. This is where liner compatibility can be deceptive\u2014visual inspection alone isn\u2019t enough. With just a slight touch, the liner that is not compatible, pops right off the bottle. The bottle with the compatible liner is firmly sealed, showing a successful bond that will protect the product throughout its shelf life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Need Help?
