Enercon introduces free packaging Safe-TE Seal evaluation

Release date: 4/1/2002

MENOMONEE FALLS, WI - Concern for safety and tamper-evidence is at an all time high and Enercon is doing its part to help. Enercon's new Safe-TE™ (safety and tamper-evidence) program provides packagers with a free safety and tamper-evidence evaluation of their packaged product.

Vice-President Bill Zito says of the Safe-TE™ program, "This is an important service that Enercon offers the packaging community. Our evaluation includes lab testing to determine if induction sealing is an appropriate means to provide tamper-evidence for their specific cap/container configuration. Many current Enercon customers rely on induction sealing because of the safety of the hermetic seal and the inherent tamper-evidence of the technology "

To take advantage of the program, packagers can send samples of the their existing or prototype packages to Enercon along with pertinent production information such as production line requirements and range of products to be sealed.

The Safe-TE™ Seal Program includes

  • Evaluation of existing or prototype containers as candidates for induction sealing
  • Recommendation of container modifications if necessary
  • Application-specific sealing equipment recommendations
  • Information about induction seal manufacturers

Packagers can learn more about the program by contacting Enercon's induction sealing experts at 262-255-6070 or via the web contact form
