Corona treatment has traditionally been used as a surface modification technology with flexography. However, in recent years there has been a shift to atmospheric plasma technology for flexographic applications which are able to overcome the limitations of corona treatment.
By optimizing the surface treatment technology, printers are able to operate at higher processing speed and wider widths, while maintaining the adhesion requirements on inks and coatings.
