Enercon Dyne-A-Flame™ surface treater treats an EVA automotive dashboard prior to painting. In this application the flame treater is integrated with a robot that executes a treatment pattern based on program actuated by a bar code scan on the part.

Flame Plasma effectively cleans and functionalizes a variety of engineered films, coextruded films, paperboard, metal foils, and foams for numerous applications in the food, automotive, medical, industrial tape & textile industries.

This video shows Enercon’s Dyne-A-Flame flame plasma surface treater integrated with a robotic arm and automated process. Midwest Engineering partnered with Enercon on this project. As the fixtures are presented to the robot, the robot executes a predefined treatment path based on the application criteria.

Enercon partnered with Midwest Engineering to develop a production ready flame treatment system for an automotive dashboard supplier. The goal of the system is to increase the receptiveness of the EVA dashboard surface to an adhesive which will hold foam padding in place.
