MENOMONEE FALLS, WI - Rory Wolf, Vice President of Business Development for Enercon Industries, received the 2004 TAPPI PLACE Division Leadership and Service Award and the Andreas G. Ahlbrandt prize.
Employed in the packaging industry for 24 years, Wolf has been a member of the PLACE (Polymers, Laminations, Adhesives, Coatings & Extrusions) Division of TAPPI since 2000. He served as the Chair position within the PLACE Marketing Committee, serves on the Technical Program Committee, and was recently named as Secretary of the PLACE Division Council. In addition, Wolf is a Board Member for the Decorating Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).
The PLACE Division Leadership and Service Award and Andreas G. Ahlbrandt prize is awarded to an individual who demonstrates a proven history of diligent work for TAPPI or division committees. Named for Andreas G. Ahlbrandt, President and founder of Ahlbrandt Systems, GmbH, in 1986 Enercon Industries endowed this award to compliment the Leadership and Service Award. Ahlbrandt made significant contributions to the paper and film converting processes through inventions in bag production, drying technology and electrical surface treatment. A Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, he was honored for over 20 years of service to the technical education of young people.
