Motion-Foil Detection Group

Enercon's motion-foil group is an integral accessory for your Enercon induction cap sealer providing two valuable safety functions.

Foil Detection

Closure manufactures do an excellent job at ensuring each cap they manufacture and ship to you contains a foil inner liner. However, on occasion this liner may be missing - it may fall out in handling or in the hopper before capping. Regardless of what the cause may be, we want to ensure you have the ability to detect whether a foil is present just before it passes under an Enercon induction sealing system.

The motion-foil group provides with you with a signal to trigger a rejection device such as the Enercon eJector, removing the offending container from your sealed products.

Motion Detection

In addition to detecting foil presence in the cap of your package, the motion-foil detection group also ensures that your containers continue to move and do not stop directly under the sealer. Should containers backup for any reason under the sealer, the motion-foil group will detect this backup and automatically shut off your induction sealer.

Why is this important? Remember the induction sealing process heats the foil inner liner. Should the sealer continue to run with containers stopped beneath it, it could cause damage not only to your products but also to the sealing system itself should the liner overheat and begin to burn.

Enercon systems are designed to operate in a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F) @ 80% relative humidity, non-condensing.

Containers are inspected for foil presence and continuous motion with Enercon's Motion-Foil Detection Group.
