Dairies leveraging induction sealed milk

A colleague of mine forwarded me this video today from a Guida’s Milk & Ice Cream in the northeastern part of the US. They are actively promoting the additional freshness their new induction seal provides to their milk. Dairies around the world who have made the switch from an unsealed jug of milk to an induction sealed package not only benefit from added freshness, but also reduce leaking containers in transit, on store shelves or in the car on the way home from the store.

Dairies in the UK have also found they can save a nice little sum of money by reducing the weight of both the container and closure after adding the foil seal. Go to a local market in England such as Tesco or Sainsbury and you’ll see liters of milk with no tear band!

That little induction seal can go a long way. Whether it’s a marketing vehicle, way to prevent leakage, or a method to make your package more environmentally friendly, you might want to explore the benefits heat induction sealing provides!
