New marketing? Doesn't my print ad work any more?

Having spent a better part of my career in technology and online marketing I tend to keep up with new technologies and find ways that we can adopt them. Seth Godin posted an interesting article a couple days back in which he discusses the continued shift to new media marketing vehicles. He specifically comments on the importance of word of mouth & digital promotion as newspapers continue to fade to black.

I'm curious to know what your company is doing to ensure you thrive with this shift? Are you building an online community? Utilizing social networking tools like LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter? How are you leveraging the voice of your customers? What companies in the packaging world stand out in their efforts?
