The following is a description of a breaker trip on an Enercon Compak 9000 power supply. This condition may result from a variety of circumstances, please note multiple symptoms & solutions exist on this page.

| Solutions |
- Inspect the cooling fans for a faulty fan. (Item 8)
- Check for a short circuit relating to the control transformer. (Item 21)
- Check the circuit breaker for defects.

The breaker on the power supply trips when the interlocks for the system are satisfied but only after the start button is depressed. |
| Fault |
The fault is most likely a short circuit in the AC-DC conversion section of the power supply. When the interlocks are satisfied, the contactor closed, allowing the charging of the DC bus. To isolate the fault perform the checks described on page 2.
