The following is a description of an illuminated fault light on your Enercon Compak 2000 power supply.
| Symptom, Fault, Caution |
| Symptom |
The fault light is illuminated and the power supply cannot be started. |
| Fault |
In most models, the fault light is not applicable. However, early models had the thermal switch connected to indicate a fault during an overtemperature condition.
The most recent version incorporates protective circuits in the inverter firing circuit to indicate a fault if a failure occurs in the inverter device or firing circuit.
|
| CAUTION! |
When a defective device is replaced, ensure the associated gate leads are replaced also. If not, the lead may result in additional device failures. |

|
| Solutions |
- The fault may be a result of a device failure. Perform the checks indicated on page 2.
- If a defective device is identified, replace the device and the associated gate leads.
- If no defective device is isolated, proceed.
- Check the gate lead connections between the main control board and the inverter device. Verify the wiring is correct in accordance with the power supply wiring diagram.
- If the fault is still present, contact Enercon's Service Department for assistance.
